AKO Compliance & Planning is led by Ida Abimbola, a Procurement, Commercial, Construction and Compliance professional with a strong foundation in delivery, governance, and contract assurance.
Ida’s leadership is informed by a multi generational background in construction and project delivery. Raised within a family of builders and construction suppliers, she was exposed early to the operational, commercial, and leadership realities of the industry, shaping a grounded and practical approach to project delivery.
From an early stage of her childhood, Ida was involved in live construction environments, including site operations, procurement activities, and business meetings, developing a clear understanding of how projects are planned, controlled, and delivered successfully.
She combines this early hands on exposure with a robust academic and professional background, holding a Postgraduate Level in Senior Construction Management and a BA (Hons) in Business & Management, alongside specialist qualifications in procurement, contract management, and integrated management systems.
Ida holds a CSCS Black Management Card, SMSTS, and professional competencies aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, ensuring her work meets the expectations of regulated and high scrutiny environments.
Through AKO Compliance & Planning, Ida supports clients operating within public sector and commercial construction settings, providing structured compliance, planning, and assurance services that stand up to audit, governance, and contractual scrutiny
