Our Story
AKO Compliance & Planning is more than a company, it’s a legacy.
Founded by Ida Abimbola Ramon, granddaughter of Karim Okoro (one of the first Black African Nigerians in his community to open a construction supply shop), and daughter of Ayiba Okoro, a respected builder and project leader, the AKO name carries generations of experience, resilience, and excellence.
As a child, Ida would often join her mother after school and during holidays, helping on-site, attending business meetings, and even buying and selling materials. These early experiences shaped her love for the industry and gave her hands-on insight into how business and construction work together.
Today, Ida brings this rich heritage into her work, combining it with her academic and professional background in Business Management, Construction Management, Project Planning, and Primavera P6.
Her mission is to uphold the values passed down through generations: trust, quality, and hands-on problem-solving.
